Pride of India Collection

India becomes the Republic

Hi ! I am updating my blog after a short break as I was busy preparing my own collection for an exhibition. I have just completed my work and writing this Post. In today’s Post another new replica from Pride of India Collection of best 25 Indian stamps jointly launched by India Post & Hall mark group. This stamp was originally issued on 26 January 1950 when India became Republic. In club news some contribution by our members. Hi ! Here are the most beautiful stamps on Christmas issued by Australia Post on 2nd November for Christmas 2009. These awesome stamps are so tempting for all stamp collectors because of their attractive designs. For me, these stamps appear to be best stamps of Christmas 2009. It should be noted that Australia Post has also issued other philatelic items besides stamps. All are fantastic and any collector would love to collect these wonderful items. The stamps feature familiar symbols of the Christmas season. The stamps show The fir tree, baubles, candy canes, wrapped gifts, stocking and Santa Claus hat. Christmas Stamps from Australia…

Hi ! It is the time for Christmas preparation all over the world. Many Postal administrations have issued beautiful stamps on Christmas. Australia Post seems to be No. 1 Postal Administration which has brought out most beautiful philatelic items on Christmas for stamp lovers. This year's Christmas stamps of Australia feature three themes: iconic figures from the Nativity, familiar symbols of the Christmas season and creatures from Christmas Island.

The Nativity issue features the Virgin Mary cradling her newborn son on the 50c stamp, while the $1.25 design depicts the three Magi or Wise Men, Caspar, Melchior and Balthazar offering precious gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh to baby Jesus.
