Alzeheimer's

Hi ! Its getting colder day by day here and it seems that within a few days the surrounding hills of Kullu would experience snowfall. The mercury is falling giving the weather a chilling effect. Its time to have hot cup of tea or coffee. In today's Post here is a stamp recently issued by US on Alzeheimer's, helping to combat Alzheimer's disease and raise awareness about it.The stamp depicts a woman suffering from Alzheimer's and a helping hand on her shoulder. That hand represents friends and family who dedicate so much time caring for loved ones with the disease.Memory loss that disrupts everyday life is not a normal part of aging. It is a symptom of dementia, a gradual and progressive decline in memory, thinking and reasoning skills. The most common form of dementia is Alzheimer’s disease, a disorder that results in the loss of brain cells. This stamp gives a message to all that we should take care of persons suffering from this serious disease and we should never neglect them. The stamp is really very nice creating an awareness about this disease affecting the old persons. In our regular series some nice FDCs of se-tenant stamps from the collection of Mr. Shrikant Parikh. This is all for the Day ! ...Till Next Post ..... Have a Nice Time!.....
