Week in Review: Princess Charlene, 11-17 March

Week in Review: Princess Charlene, 4-10 March

  1. a) Visiting the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Center, 9 March, in b) Akris, of course.
  2. At Melbourne Town Hall, 9 March.
  3. a) Opening the Grace Kelly: Style Icon exhibit in Australia, 10 March, with slits in the front and b) the back. Poor Charlene...she steps a little toe beyond the blergh color line and I still don't like it. I'm so crotchety. The hair and the makeup, they make me sad. Let's be nice and talk about what she did right: she commissioned this dress from Johanna Johnson out of Australia, which is a) nice with the diplomatic dressing and b) not Akris for a change. So, there's that.

Week in Review: Princess Charlene, 19-26 February

  1. a and b) At the graduation ceremony for the Monaco Red Cross, 21 February, in Akris.
  2. Attending a gala for Monaco Disease Power, 22 February. I'll have to cling to the wrap as my only source of non-blergh enjoyment.
  3. a) At a Montblanc event before the Oscars, 25 February, in b) Akris which she was careful to drain of all its color.
  4. a) Attending the Academy Awards, 26 February, in b) modified Akris. I just....why bother? You know? Go all the way to L.A., go through the whole show of walking the red carpet, and then just disappear in a far too casual and typical dress? Maybe she took some notes from some of the celebs that killed it last night.

Week in Review: Princess Charlene, 12-18 February

  1. a and b) Attending a cocktail party after the Prince Albert II challenge boat race, 18 February. Uh oh. I moaned that we needed an alternative to blergh, and she went with see-through. Risky business, this.

Week in Review: Princess Charlene, 29 January-4 February

  1. Opening the Princess Charlene Child Welfare Center, 1 February. EUREKA! Girlfriend made friends with the rainbow, and I can break my self-imposed silent protest of Charlene's use of the blergh "color"  family for the first time this year. See the wonders a spot of color can do?
  2. a) At the National Council in Monaco, 2 February, in b) Akris. Well, that didn't last long. My lips are back to being sealed.
