European football championship stamp from Hungary

Magyar Post issued a postage stamp to commemorate Euro 2012 The 2012 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as Euro 2012, is the 14th European Championship for national football teams organised by UEFA. The final tournament is being hosted by Poland and Ukraine between 8 June and 1 July 2012.

On the left side of this stamp, based on a design by the graphic artist Attila Elekes, are pictogram-like depictions of typical moves in football, and on the right side there is a football decorated with the national colours of the organising countries with a map of Europe in the background.

SPECIAL COVER on Jainism issued at Agra

On the occasion of 24 Jinalaya Pratishtha Mahotsava, Jain Dadabadi, a special cover was released at Agra (U.P.) on 18th June 2012. I am exhibiting here image of such cover and a
newspaper cutting of the release function.

It is an interesting fact that this Pratishtha Mahotsava programme was held from 23rd Feb. to 27th Feb. 2012 and this special cover was proposed during that time. But due to Assembly elections of U.P., Postal Department not released the cover during that function. Now on 18th June 2012, Postal Department has issued the same in a separate
function.

Here are 3 new stamps issued by German Post  on 12th April  to celebrate the most important sporting events for Germany and the whole world: Football Championship in Poland and Ukraine, Olympic Games in London and Table Tennis Championship in Dortmund. The stamps are very nice and sure to be liked by Sports lovers !!

Here is a set of souvenir sheets with rainbow strips issued by Polish Post to commemorate great Football event EURO 2012 Football Tournament. Poland and Ukraine are the joints hosts of this big Football Tournament. Stamps are just fantastic and going to be fit in my Rainbow collection…So just waiting for these wonderful FDCs from my friends in Poland and certainly I would send them beautiful covers from India or stamps and covers of their own choice  !!

The 2012 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as Euro 2012, is the 14th European Championship for national football teams organised by UEFA. The final tournament is being hosted by Poland and Ukraine between 8 June and 1 July 2012. It is the first time that either nation has hosted the tournament. This bid was chosen by UEFA's Executive Committee in 2007.

The final tournament features 16 nations, the last European Championship to do so (from Euro 2016 onward, there will be 24 finalists). Qualification was contested by 51 nations between August 2010 and November 2011 to join the two host nations in the tournament. The winner of the tournament gains automatic entry to the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup hosted by Brazil.

Vanuatu Beaches

Here are some beautiful stamps issued by Vanuatu Post featuring  famous beaches. Spread right through the archipelago, the beaches of this un spoilt paradise are a sight to behold. Some of the beaches from this unspoilt land are only accessible by boat or float plane and leave the visitor with an unreal feeling of having spent time in such a pristine environment.

The stamp issue has a textured feel and highlights four of thousands of wonderful examples. Champagne Beach, Havana Harbour, Eratap Island and Pele Island give the viewer a taste of what to expect. 

New Silver Stamp by France..

 

Date of Issue : 11 July 2011

French postal administration has issued a souvenir sheet with 4 stamps on 11 July 2011 to celebrate the  Rugby World Cup 2011 that is going to be held in November in New Zealand. With this set French post has also issued a wonderful  silver stamp of high value  5 euros. This stamp is sold in a plastic protective capsule to help resist tarnishing included in a cardboard card of the size of a credit card.

France "FOOTBALL WORLDCUP ~ FIFA"

The 2010 Football Stamp, a 5 euro silver stamp from France

La Poste issued  this  5 euro silver stamp made of 99.9% pure silver on 10 June 2010. Beautiful and collectible, this stamp is also a real pressure-sensitive 5 euro postage stamp, and can be used in France to mail a package. The stamp shows a football player kicking the ball, with another player looking at him.

New Max. Cards on Astrological Signs - Set 3

Hi ! Here is the first part of Set No.3 of Max. Cards on Astrological Signs prepared by Mr Hemant Kumar Jain of Jabalpur (MP). There are 3 different types of sets of total 36 Max. Cards prepared by Mr Jain . This set is in different colors for each specific sign with a new look. The special traits of the astrological signs are also mentioned on these cards. We have with the support of Hotel le Meridien displayed a collection of stamps on the sport of Football for the fourth time, first in 1998, second in 2002, third in 2006 and now again in 2010, the display of Mr Aalok Jaggi is one of the most outstanding collections on the game of Football, a total of eight frames with 16, A4 size sheet in each frame are proudly displayed in the atrium lobby outside the Nero Bar.

The collection was open for public display from 11th June the inauguration of World Cup Football in South Africa and shall be open till 11th of July the final match of the World Cup Football.

This is the eleventh exhibition on sports being put on display at the Hotel Le Meridien since 1998, The sports of Cricket and Olympic Games have also been mounted during the world cups and games, the last one was on Hockey during the FIH World Cup in March 2010.

Hi! In today’s Post here are the most Romantic Postage stamps ever issued by a country . The stamps are in heart shape and look very unusual from the normal postage stamps. These have been issued to promote tourism in the country. This is Vanuatu Post’s first stamp series of 2009 – “Romantic Vanuatu”. The stamp series launched on 28th January showcases Vanuatu’s romantic locations and Vanuatu’s growing status as the premier wedding and honeymoon destination. So these are some of the most beautiful and unique postage stamps issued for special occasion, issued this year. I have just received a beautiful Post card from my Blogger friend Ada from Poland !
