Our reader Mr. Anurag Verma from Jalandhar has sent scan of a set of very beautiful stamps issued by Gibraltar in 1998. These stamps are with pictures of great world personalities with their quotations. These stamps are also the best sellers. I have scans of M/s received from Mr. Shrikant Parikh showing variations of colours quite visible. Here are the pictures. I have also received the information about the latest issue of India, released on June 30 from Mr. Vinod Sabharwal. The stamp appears in the Recent Indian Issue column. Shrikant Parikh writes from Ahmedabad.....
I was in Mount Abu (Rajasthan) last week and obtained some philatelic material from the Treasury of Mount Abu Post-office, (there is no philatelic counter) including a few MS of Fairs of India, issued on 27.02.2007.While at home I found to my great surprise the color differerence with the MS I already have and with the"GOA CARNIVAL" stamp in particular. It is apparent without magnifyig glass the greyish blue color of lake in SONEPUR FAIR and PUSHKAR FAIR and immense color variation in Peacock, wings of Butterfly, sitting girls and T-shirt of joker in GOA CARNIVAL stamp. This MS will find place in collection of Se-tenant stamps and of course in album of Miniature Sheets.
