On September 1, 2011, An ( Ireland) Post issued a series of four stamps featuring the Irish horses. Peter Curling, Ireland's leading equestrian artist, painted the images on which the stamps were based. They show four common horses in Ireland: the thoroughbred horse, the Connemara pony, the coloured horse and the Irish draught horse.

Special stamp issue for England Test team
Britain’s secret little post office at Bletchley Park is celebrating England becoming the World’s Number 1 test cricket team with a special stamp issue. The hand prepared stamp and envelope combination features two exclusive paintings by renowned cricket artist Christina Pierce, one on the envelope and another on the stamp. The stamp has a 13th August 2011 postmark to mark the day of the big win.

Bletchley Park Post Office was once the undercover mailroom of the World War 2 Enigma code breakers. It has issued special stamps and first day covers since 1994 to help raise funds to preserve Bletchley Park. Many are now worth several hundreds of pound. Its cricket series have been sought after by collectors around the world.
