Random Royal Appreciation: The Red Cross Ball

There are indeed a few royal things going on that have nothing to do with the Olympics. Just a few, mind you, but Monaco has one of them in the annual Red Cross Ball.

It's a pretty swank affair, and it usually draws one of the sisters - Caroline or Stephanie - so this is awfully low key. Not low key, however, is Charlene's dress. That's for sure.

Here's how I imagine this went down.

Al: "Charlene, we need to leave the Olympics."

Char: (turns to face the fictional camera in terror) "Noooooooooooooo!!!"

Al: "How about if you get to wear the Dress of a Thousand Gold Medals?"

Char: "....Fine."

Had to take some sort of incentive to pull her away from the Games, right? (Albert, at least, was spotted back in London on Sunday, and we'll be back with another dose of highlights tomorrow.)
